TITAN Containers’ ArcticStore brand is recognised all over the country as the market-leading portable cold storage solution. Our flagship product is the ArcticStore container itself, available in 10ft, 20ft and 40ft sizes.

Capable of maintaining temperatures between -40°C and +45°C, it is the most popular option for supermarkets and retail clients, whose needs for storing foods fall comfortably within this range in most cases.

Inbuilt fresh air exchange helps to improve the shelf-life of perishable goods such as fruit and vegetables, and rapid chilling can be achieved for fresh produce that quickly needs to be frozen. Around 1,000kg of fruit can be cooled to -25°C in two hours.

For even faster chilling, our incredibly powerful ArcticBlast containers are quicker still, cutting times by up to 50%. And when more extreme temperatures are required – such as for storing frozen tuna and other oily fish – our UltraFreezer can chill to temperatures as low as -75°C.

ArcticStore Tropical represents the next generation of ArcticStore models as we continue TITAN’s journey towards a greener future. Our Tropical model is cutting-edge refrigerated storage designed with energy efficiency in mind.

Unlike traditional storage containers, ArcticStore Tropical can keep its temperature for a longer period of time, even after a power cut. With its advanced insulation and cooling technology, it takes 48.6% longer to reach 0°C from -40°C and requires 19% less time to reach -40°C from +25°C compared to standard containers.

Furthermore, the ArcticStore Tropical uses 21.4% less energy to maintain the -40°C temperature, making it a more sustainable and cost-effective solution for those in need of refrigerated storage.

HOW TESCO ACED CHRISTMAS WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM TITAN

Tesco are one of our best long-term clients. While we help keep their goods chilled year round, they needed our cold storage solutions more than ever in the run-up to December 25th last year.


THE CHALLENGE

TITAN Containers was tasked with helping Tesco to keep millions of pounds worth of stock refrigerated or frozen at stores across the country for three months from early November.
A mixture of turkeys, mince pies and other Christmas goodies, this stock was to play an essential role in keeping Tesco’s many customers happy over the festive period.

Tesco’s requirements were very specific. They needed to be able to store goods at a range of temperatures, so we helped them pick exactly what they needed from our collection of ArcticStore refrigerated containers.
We have models ranging from 10ft to 40ft capable of various different functions, including chilling down to -75°C.

THE SOLUTION

We worked with Tesco to calculate that 250 ArcticStore containers would meet their requirements.
Tesco are a fantastic customer and know their seasonal needs well in advance, so they were able to finalise their order from us in August. This gave us ample time to make sure we had everything lined up and ready to go by November.
The popular supermarket chain already rent more than 400 cold storage units from us year-round.

THE DELIVERY

Our goal from the start was to make the delivery of our 250+ ArcticStore containers as efficient as possible.
Our logistics team worked hard to ensure that the ArcticStore containers were delivered exactly where they were needed in two phases, as planned.
